Pokot Tribe - Young Pokot Woman

from $950.00

This beautiful, serene woman was wearing traditional Pokot facial adornment. Pokot women wear big brass earrings to signify marital status, this young woman is still unmarried. I took this photo on 3200 iso black and white old-school film, with a manual Canon A1 camera which was made in 1975. Shooting on high ISO film intentionally gives the photo a nice grainy feel, much like a pixilated look. The further away you stand the image gets smoother. This portrait looks exceptionally striking when blown up to a large size because of this reason.

  • All photos are signed limited edition prints: M 50 : L 25 : XL 15

  • Print sizes in the drop-down menu refer to the image size only

  • Each photograph has a 2-inch (5cm) white border surrounding the image

  • Need more info, head to Details & Frequently Asked Questions on the menu bar in INFO
